ADAM

An unconventional coming of age story set against a dystopian backdrop.

Synopsis

Adam awakens by the riverbanks of a forest without the ability to speak or act. His first experience is that of a stranger trying to murder him in the freezing water. By some twist of fate, the stranger decides to spare Adam's life and adopt him instead.

As Adam navigates his newfound independence, he is confronted by the emergence of a female figure from the riverbank, Eve. The two spend their days exploring the forest, until the stranger returns to sever their connection, prompting Adam to unravel the secrets behind his upbringing.

Director's Statement

By George Sefer

"Adam is a project that was born out of and conveys the theme of child-like innocence. The film places the central character within the wilderness of a riverbank and strips him of any natural defenses... Whether those wounds make or break him, is at the very center of the narrative."
